Hilary Schenker created the pen and ink illustrations that grace the pages of Same Sun Here, by Neela Vaswani and Silas House, published by Random House. Same Sun Here tells the story of pen pals Meena and River. Meena, who loves to draw, is an Indian immigrant girl living in New York City’s Chinatown, while River is a Kentucky coal miner’s son.
